Overseas Network Pass (ONE)

Industry leaders in technology, business, arts, academia and research

Requires S$30,000 minimum monthly salary and proven leadership in specific fields. 5-year validity with benefits for family members

TechPass

Senior technology professionals and digital entrepre

Minimum S$22,500 monthly salary with 5 years tech experience and company valuation is more than US$500M.
*Pass will be phased out in 2027

S Pass

Mid-skilled technical staff and skilled workers

Minimum fixed monthly salary requirement of S$3,150 (S$3,650 for the financial sector). Subject to companyt quota limitations and qualifying assessment criteria

Work Permit

Semi-skilled and service workers including domestic helpers, construction workers, manufacturing staff, and service sector employees

Fixed quota system based on the ratio of local to foreign workers in the company

Letter of Consent &
Long term Visit Pass Application

A Letter of Consent (LOC) allows the dependent of ONE(Overseas Networks & Expertise) Pass and eligible Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) holder to work in Singapore.

The Foreign Director who is an Employment Pass holder will need to apply for LOC before he can be appointed as a local director of the subsidiary (of the Singapore parent company that sponsors his application) or to act as the local director in the related company whereby his current employer is also the shareholder.

W.e.f. 1 May 2021, DP holders of Employment Pass holders can no longer apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC) to work as employees in Singapore and must obtain their own valid work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass. However, DP holders who are business owners with at least 30% shareholding in an active ACRA-registered Singapore entity may still apply for an LOC as a business owner, subject to MOM approval.

What to expect for your Work Pass application

Timing to process your application is also dependant on how fast we receive your supporting documents and financial background of the Singapore Company.

Step 1
Assessment
  • Documents required for preliminary assessment. (e.g. applicant's passport copy and ACRA company)
  • Number of your local employees (For S Pass/Work permit)
  • Additional documents (e.g. previous EP/S Pass/Work Permit, 2 highest education certificates and employment contract)
  • Verification of educational certificate(s) with MOM's screening agency (takes about 1 to 2 weeks)
Please note: Employment Pass (EP) applications are also assessed under the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS).
Step 2
Submission
  • Submission of work pass application with MOM (10 working days for MOM to review)
  • MOM may request for additional supporting documents (e.g. employer's financial statements or business contracts)
  • Timeline for approval depends on the profile of the applicant and the employer
Step 3
Completion
  • When the work passs is approved, the employee will need to travel to Singapore. We assist to book an appointment for the employee to visit MOM EPSC (Employment Pass Services Centre for EP holder) or MOM Services Centre (for S Pass and Work Permit holder).
  • MOM will take the employee's fingerprint and photo for the physical card issuance and the employee is now legally allowed to stay and work in Singapore

I understand that I am required to produce my education certificates however I might have lost my certificates. What am I suppose to do?

You will be required to submit your transcripts or letter from the educational institution to prove that you have completed and awarded the qualification of the course or program and a letter of explanation to explain why the certificate cannot be produced.

My application is rejected, what should I do next? Should I start to find another job?

If your application is rejected, your employer will be given a rejection advisory stating the reasons of rejection and an advice to follow. The rejection reasons could be if either you or the company has fallen short of eligibility requirements.

An appeal should be considered only if you or your employer are able to address the reasons for rejection within 3 months of receiving the rejection.

If you wish to check your eligibility before making an appeal, you can do a simple exercise using the self-assessment tool which will show your qualifying criteria for likely approval.

Which Is Easier To Obtain: An Employment Pass Or An S Pass?

Neither work pass is inherently easier to obtain. Each has its own eligibility requirements and assessment criteria. The appropriate work pass depends on the candidate’s profile and the employer’s hiring circumstances.
